Every year, there are new books that readers look forward to. There are many anticipated reads for 2024, and these are only a few of them.
First on the list is “House of Flame and Shadow” by Sarah J. Maas. This is the third book of the Crescent City series, Maas’s third series so far. This is a highly anticipated read for many, especially after the cliffhanger ending of the second book, “House of Sky and Breath”, which was published in 2022. Overall, this is an important read that many are looking forward to.
Another book that many are looking forward to is the Empyrean book 3 by Rebecca Yarros. This is already anticipated and many are excited for it, because of the first two books “Fourth Wing”, and “Iron Flame”. These books went viral on Social Media, and rightfully so. They are riveting, and great reads to add to your TBR.
Another fantasy book that is coming out in 2024 is the second book of Holly Black’s “Stolen Heir” Duology. After her hit series “The Folk of the Air”, her new Duology is highly anticipated amongst fantasy readers.
Still in the fantasy realm, “Heavenly Tyrant” by Xiran Ray Xiao is coming out this March. This is the second book after “Iron Widow”, a popular book amongst fantasy readers. This is a story of strength and girl power, as well as some romance and a very interesting world.
Another great series with a strong female lead is her series, “This Woven Kingdom”. This is getting its third installment released in February 2024 called “All this Twisted Glory”. This series has yet to be recognized as much as her other series “Shatter Me”, but Tahereh Mafi doesn’t disappoint.
“Grishaverse” author Leigh Bardugo is releasing a new book called “The Familiar” in April of 2024. This author is well-known for her series and fantasy world the “Grishaverse”, and her new releases continue to be great and her reputation doesn’t lie.
The last fantasy book on this list is renowned Chloe Gong’s “Immortal Longings” book 2. The first book of her first adult fantasy series was a hit when it was released in July 2023, and the second book is anticipated to be amazing.
To finish this off, two romance books to look forward to are “Home” by Ali Hazelwood, and “Funny Story” by Emily Henry. These both come from renowned romance authors, and romance readers are excited for these new books.
2024 is an important year for readers, and there are plenty of other books that are coming out other than these 9 books!
