ACT I: a wishbone never breaks even
The show began by spotting Gray bicycling on stage and running over to a mailbox that read “Fairfax, VA. 9/20/2025”. The crowd erupted into cheers as he was seen wearing a white sailor-esque outfit that matched the outfit he is wearing in the cover of the album. Beginning the show with “My World” – one of the more upbeat songs from “Wishbone” – had people jumping with enthusiasm. The rest of Act I was filled with more of his upbeat songs, exciting fans and charging them up.
ACT II: i got the short end of the stick
Suddenly, there was a drastic change. The mood swapped from the up beat dance party to one of the slowest songs on his new album, “Class Clown”. As a bed is rolled onto stage, you can see Gray’s first outfit change of the night: blue sparkly striped pajamas. With tears flowing from fans, he sang some of his best melodies: “People Watching”, “The Cut That Always Bleeds”, “Eleven Eleven”, and “Nauseous” all in one act, showcasing the depth that his songs contain. . The name of the act really encapsulated everything that Gray was trying to convey in these songs. It truly did show that he got the short end of the stick.
ACT III: i took the long way to realization
A boat is moved on stage as Conan appears in a white and blue pirate looking blouse. He begins this act with two of his more upbeat songs: “Romeo” and “This Song”, hyping up fans after the intensity of Act II. Then it was time for the surprise song. The choice was either “Alley Rose” or “Astronomy” and Conan chose a fan named Diego who got to break a wishbone with him. If Conan got the long end, he got to choose, and if he got the short end, Diego got to choose. With Diego getting the long end, he ended up choosing “Alley Rose”, one of the most popular songs from Conan’s “Found Heaven” album.
After the excitement of the surprise song, everything began to settle down as he sang “Heather” and included the lost verse which many fans knew the lyrics to. He then went into the gut-wrenching song about his trauma: “Family Line”, then straight into “Connell”. Safe to say everyone’s jaws were agape as he ended the third act with the infamous “Connell” crashout.
ACT IV: i wished for love, and i found it
Conan comes back on stage and gets everyone jumping again with his final act beginning with the first track on the album, “Actor”. When he began playing “Maniac” everyone started jumping and cheering, and the energy was the most electric it had been that night. After Conan announced the next song would be his last, and after giving the crowd a big sarcastic wink, he played “Vodka Cranberry”, his hit-song off of “Wishbone” that has made him blow up across social media platforms. Safe to say he hit the high note.
ENCORE
Conan runs back on stage in a sparkling navy blue suit with a sailor hat that really made him stand out. He came back to sing his hit song, “Memories” and finally ended the amazing show with “Caramel”, getting the crowd to wave their arm back and forth with him, exciting everyone once again before finally ending the show (actually ending it this time).
