Ask James: How do I learn to love myself

How do I Love myself?

-Loveless

Dear Loveless,

This is a question that sadly many people still face. So I’m going to be here to help you.

The first thing about self-love is looking at yourself in an unbiased way. If you have a problem with the way you look unless you are going to do something at that moment what is the point of complaining about it?

Also, try and focus on the good you’re doing and not just looking at the bad. But it is vital to not completely ignore the bad that you are doing. We only have one life on this Earth and you can’t sit here and waste it and complain about the cards you were dealt. Start imagining yourself as a Goddess/God. You are the only you there is going to be so why are you sitting here and wishing you were someone else – and I know, well their so pretty they have a flat stomach, clear skin, a big but – and I say so the heck what if you want it so bad go reach for it, go fight for, and if you aren’t going to the simply be quiet about it.

You have so much more power in being yourself than trying to be another person. Furthermore, if someone you like doesn’t like you then that person wasn’t the one for you. If you don’t love yourself then how can you love another person? Start dating yourself, treat yourself to whatever you want, and just have fun with yourself. At the end of the day, you have to understand that you are the only person who can be yourself and that is something amazing. So really start seeing the good in your life and self.
