There are multiple amazing Mexican restaurants in Crofton; Mi Casita, La Tolteca, Chipotle, Qdoba, Taco Bell, etc. I will be reviewing Mi Casita, La Tolteca and Qdoba, ordering the same meal from each restaurant; a hard shell chicken taco and a hard shell beef taco. I will review them based on presentation, taste, and cost.

Mi Casita

I ordered the 3 hard shell taco meal, 2 chicken tacos, 1 ground beef taco with lettuce and cheese. Firstly, they were not too expensive at $7.99. Secondly, the presentation was very well done, it was quite neat. And finally, they were absolutely delicious. The ground beef and chicken were both so flavorful and fresh. The lettuce was so fresh and delicious. The cheese was also so fresh. And the hard shell was so crisp and amazing.

La Tolteca

I ordered the 3 hard-shell tacos off of their “A la Carte” menu. 2 chicken, 1 beef. They are just meat, lettuce and cheese. Firstly, the presentation was okay, not super neat, it was just a little messy. Secondly, it was quite cheap, $6.99. Pretty good for 3 tacos. Finally, the taste. The hard shell is delicious, homemade, and perfectly crunchy. The chicken and beef were both so great. Very flavorful, hot, and delicious. The lettuce tasted so fresh and cold. And the cheese is freshly grated and is amazing. I think overall La Tolteca had excellent tacos.

Qdoba

I ordered their hard-shell taco meal. I got 2 chicken and one ground beef with lettuce and cheese. Firstly, the presentation was a little messy. Secondly, it was a little expensive for 3 tacos, $11.95. Finally, they were all very flavorful. The ground beef was a little spicy but very good. The chicken was very flavorful. The hard shell was homemade and was very good.

Wrapping Up

Overall, I wasn’t the only person to enjoy some of these tacos. I asked a peer; freshman Aaliyah Boyd, about her opinion on tacos in Crofton, Maryland. “My favorite Mexican restaurant in Crofton is Mi Casita. I like to get ground beef tacos with just lettuce, cheese and mayo. They are really good.”
